Pain.
Stabbing pain in quick succession is likely what brought Cal back to consciousness, blinking up at the darkening Jedha sky. Bode. Master Cordova. No doubt he was injured if the way his breath rattled in his chest and searing pain in his shoulder meant anything, and his head - kriff.
The pain his body was in was nothing compared to the agony of betrayal from his friend. How had he missed that he was a Jedi? It didn't make sense, but he had little time to contemplate it as darkness once again swept over his mind and his body went limp.
Hopefully the others had gotten away... Merrin, Greez... Cere...

He gasped and cried out, scrambling weakly on the ground.
"No!" She was a bright spot in the force, but he could feel it darkening, fading - her pain was fading, she called out to him...
It eclipsed everything else, so much so he barely noticed the crackle of his comm. With difficulty, he reached for it and activated it just as his remaining strength left him and again, everything went dark.
